Vasa Konsthall 2011
Near Is My Coat but Nearer Is My Skin consists of thirty wax packages containing objects from the human sphere; clothes with staines and holes, old buttons and strings, pieces of wallpaper etc. Things that once belonged to someone but stopped being cared for and thrown away – and thereby slowly decomposes and return to nature. Like a botanist collects plants to a herbarium have I, with great observance on my surroundings, searched for objects with traces of human presence and time.
