In(tro)spection

Galleri Monitor
Gothenburg 2013

This work is based on a photographic technique from 1880, composite portraiture. It was used in science at the time to superimpose multiple portraits in the ambition to reveal the facial features of certain human categories; medical, social, racial etc. By mimicking the same technique, the works in this exhibition examines the power relations between the act of observing and that of being observed.
