In(tro)spektion

Galleri Monitor
Gothenburg 2013

This work is based on the photographic technique composite portraiture from 1880. It was used in science at the time to superimpose multiple portraits in the ambition to reveal the facial features of certain human ‘categories’; medical, social, racial etc. By mimicking the same technique, exposing myself and my family, the works in this exhibition examines the power relations between the act of observing and that of being observed.
